Michael Eddy - Operating Support

Mike Eddy helps evaluate opportunities in the sports programming industry for Blue Magnet Partners and provides advisory support for Blue Magnet Partners portfolio companies. He is available to provide advice on select strategic projects such as service/product launch, systems implementation, corporate identity, package development, technology and Web implementation, due diligence support and research, and business plan development.

Mike currently leads Suwanee Sports Academy; a player-development organization whose whole player approach to training gives athletes the physical, emotional, and mental tools to succeed on and off the court. Suwanee Sports Academy, www.ssasports.com, is currently a Blue Magnet Partners portfolio company. Mike joined Suwanee Sports Academy in 2004 as the sales and marketing manager. As the business has grown, Mike has played a key role in leading change and managing numerous business initiatives. During the past several years he has also served as director of business development and general manager/vice president of sports operations. During his tenure he has led the successful development and launch of numerous new service offerings. He created a sales and marketing organization for the business, and led strategic repositioning and re-branding efforts in 2006. Mike has also played a key role in the implementation and development of company management systems, including operational planning and organization, financial reporting and management feedback. Mike has also pointed the management of many key strategic partnership and vendor relations during his tenure.

Mike began his career as a financial analyst with Asset Management Advisors, an affiliate of SunTrust Bank, where his team managed nearly $500 million in assets. Mike graduated from the University of the South, better known as Sewanee, in Tennessee.. While at Sewanee, Mike earned numerous academic and athletic awards before graduating summa cum laude and earning a Bachelors degree with honors in economics. He is also one of the top amateur triathletes in the country and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA through Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
